Why Phase I?

Create Space for Emerging Teeth: Alleviate crowding by guiding the eruption of teeth and ensuring enough room for permanent teeth to come in properly.

Correct Bite Irregularities: Address underbites, overbites, and crossbites to promote both functional and aesthetic alignment.

Influence Jaw Development: Guide the growth of the jawbones to achieve a harmonious relationship between the upper and lower jaws.

Improve the airway: Support optimal airway development as your child’s facial structure matures.

Prevent Future Complications: Early intervention reduces the need for more extensive treatments later. Properly aligned teeth may also improve oral hygiene and boost self-confidence.

Customized Plans

Every child is unique, and so is their ortho journey.

Treatments can include:

Expanders: Used to widen the upper jaw, creating more space for teeth to align properly.

Partial Braces: Target specific teeth to correct localized alignment issues.

Space Maintainers: Hold open space for permanent teeth following the early loss of baby teeth.

Functional Appliances: Guide jaw growth and improve the overall bite relationship.

PHASE I TREATMENT

Also known as early interceptive treatment, Phase I treatment is designed for children typically between the ages of 6 and 10. This crucial phase addresses developmental issues early, guiding proper jaw growth and ensuring optimal alignment of incoming permanent teeth. Early orthodontic evaluation allows us to identify and address potential concerns before they evolve into more complex problems.

Transitioning to Phase II

After Phase I treatment, we monitor your child's growth and dental development during a resting period. Once all permanent teeth have erupted, we evaluate the need for Phase II treatment, which focuses on fine-tuning tooth alignment and bite for optimal function and aesthetics. Early intervention can ensure a lifetime of picture-perfect smiles.
